A Virtual Walk Through Donaghcumper

 An illustrated talk by Sandra M. Murphy on the OPW’s newly-acquired heritage property of Donaghcumper Estate in Celbridge, Co. Kildare

This illustrated talk by Sandra M. Murphy will explore the newly-acquired OPW heritage property of Donaghcumper Estate in Celbridge, Co. Kildare. Through archival items, plans and photographs, this talk will take the visitor on a virtual tour of the estate, showing buildings, interiors, outbuildings and garden features.

Sandra M. Murphy has worked for the Office of Public Works in Castletown since 2016. She is a former Guide and current site manager for Castletown House, Donaghcumper Estate, the Casino Marino and the Custom House Visitor Centre. She holds a BA in History and Greek & Roman Civilisation from Maynooth University and has conducted extensive research on the history of the Castletown Estate and the Irish Country House.

The 2026 talks’ series at Castletown House is dedicated to the memory of the late Jeanne Meldon and is presented by the Office of Public Works (OPW) in association with The Castletown Foundation. 

Doors open at 3pm and the talk runs from 3.30pm to 4.30pm.
